Content Policy
What is and isn't allowed in community games published on ArcadeOn.
Last updated: July 24, 2026
Overview
This Content Policy sets out what is and is not allowed in games and content submitted to ArcadeOn Games by community creators. It applies to every user-generated game, together with its code, assets, metadata, thumbnails, and any text you provide. It works alongside our Creator Agreement, Terms of Service, Copyright / DMCA Policy, and Privacy Policy. By submitting content to ArcadeOn, you agree to follow this policy. We may update it as the platform and the law evolve.
Our goals are simple: keep players safe, keep the platform lawful, respect other people's rights, and keep advertising and the creator economy honest.
Prohibited content and behaviour
You may not submit, publish, or distribute content, or engage in behaviour, that involves:
- Malware and exploits. Viruses, spyware, cryptominers, or any code that attempts to break out of the game sandbox, escalate privileges, access other users' data, exfiltrate data, or attack the platform or its users.
- Intellectual-property infringement. Copyright or trademark infringement, plagiarism, cloned games passed off as your own, or use of unlicensed art, audio, fonts, code, or other assets you do not have the rights to use.
- Illegal content. Anything unlawful under applicable law, or that facilitates or promotes illegal activity.
- Sexual and NSFW content. Pornography, sexually explicit material, or other adult/NSFW content.
- Child sexual exploitation. Any content that sexualizes minors, in any form, is strictly prohibited. We have zero tolerance, remove it immediately, terminate the account, and report it to the relevant authorities.
- Hate, harassment, and violence. Hate speech or attacks based on protected characteristics, harassment or bullying, incitement of violence, or content promoting terrorism, violent extremism, or extremist organizations.
- Real-money gambling. Real-money gambling, betting, wagering, or content that facilitates or promotes it, including simulated gambling designed to lead users to real-money gambling services.
- Scams and deception. Phishing, fraud, deceptive or misleading monetization, fake rewards, or attempts to trick users into paying or disclosing information.
- Personal-data harvesting. Collecting, storing, or transmitting users' personal data without authorization, or in breach of our Privacy Policy or applicable data-protection law.
- Ad abuse. Excessive, deceptive, or manipulative advertising; interfering with or manipulating ad delivery; encouraging or generating invalid, artificial, or incentivized traffic, impressions, or clicks.
- Misleading metadata. Titles, descriptions, thumbnails, tags, or previews that misrepresent the game, are clickbait, or do not reflect the actual content.
- Harm to minors. Content that is harmful, dangerous, or inappropriate for minors, or that targets minors in a harmful way. (ArcadeOn is intended for users aged 18 and older.)
This list gives examples and is not exhaustive. We may act on content that undermines the safety, legality, or integrity of the platform even if it is not specifically listed.
Review and publishing
- Community games are reviewed before they are published. Review is not a guarantee of quality, safety, or legal compliance, and does not transfer any responsibility for the content to ArcadeOn.
- We may reject a submission, request changes, or remove a published game at any time, with or without prior notice, where we believe it breaches this policy or otherwise creates risk.
- Approval to publish can be reversed if new information comes to light or if the content or its behaviour changes.
Enforcement
Depending on the severity and history, enforcement may include one or more of:
- rejecting a submission or requiring changes before publication;
- unpublishing or permanently removing a game;
- revoking economy grants and any accrued or future ad-revenue earnings tied to the content (see the Creator Agreement);
- suspending or terminating creator access or the underlying account;
- reporting to law-enforcement or other authorities where required.
Serious violations — such as child sexual exploitation, malware, or fraud — may result in immediate removal and account termination without prior warning.
Appeals and contact
If you believe your game was rejected or removed in error, you can contact us at hello@arcadeonstudios.co.uk with your account and game details, and we will review the decision. Copyright complaints and counter-notices are handled under our Copyright / DMCA Policy. Your obligations as a creator, including warranties and indemnification, are set out in the Creator Agreement.
